Deja Vu

Six Flags over Georgia has been a great park in the southeastern United States for 34 years. In 2002, they will celebrate a much anticipated 35th anniversary. For the past 35 years, Six Flags over Georgia has gone through many state-of-the-art thrill rides and roller coasters. Six Flags over Georgia, again with nine menacing roller coasters, has with no doubt, the largest array of coasters in the southeast. To top it off, the park will open the new Bolliger and Mabillard flying coaster, Superman: Ultimate Flight this spring. This anniversary for Six Flags over Georgia should be a special and memorable one, and be a great season for all visitors~!

S&S Power, ride manufacturers from Utah, have hired Denise Dinn, former president of the recently shut-down CCI wooden coaster company. The company is prepared to open a new wooden coaster division, in which Dinn will be in charge. S&S Power are also strong candidates to buy Utah-based Arrow Dyanmics, who recently filed for bankruptcy.

[8/10] SIX FLAGS OVER GEORGIA CHATTER

This is a new "feature" I will do every month to let you know the small things that have been going on for the last month at SFoG. The main chatter is Mindbender will be down to one-train operation for the rest of the year, according to employees. It also seems as rumors have been going out that SFoG should be receving a 215-foot high Bolliger & Mabillard speed coaster, fitting it in between Batman: The Ride and Deja Vu.

[8/02] BILL GATES HOLDS 8.6% OF SIX FLAGS INC.

Microsoft founder and multibillionaire Bill Gates owns 8.6% of Six Flags Inc., according to Securities and Exchange Commission. Gates, the world's richest person, holds more than 8 million common shares through his investment vehicle, Cascade Investment LLC.

[8/16] SITE DOWNTIME

Sorry for the recent site downtime, Tripod was giving me problems and was getting my URL confused with another. Anyways, we are back. I am looking for a different look and layout for the site, and may be considered a completely new host. If you know of any good coaster site hosts, please let me know at zuben13@aol.com

[8/09] SFoG INFO CENTER CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Today, the SFoG Info Center (then Unofficial Guide To Six Flags Over Georgia) celebrates its first anniversary. It has been a remarkable experience and I hope I can continue to keep the site up, and let it have many anniversaries in the future! Also, new features were added to the Coaster Glossary page, with all the main ride manufacturers of SFoG have new comprehensive pages. And the site may be taking on a new look and design very shortly, and possibly even a new host. I will keep you posted.

[8/02] SITE NEWS

The site will be going through many changes in the next few weeks, and might have a new design/setup/template. I don't know if I will do it, but this look is starting to get old. I am still working my best to complete ALL ride reviews, and more roller coaster info will be added to the new individual ride pages. The SFoG calendar has been changed to August, and for certain day's hours, just move your cursor to the certain date and it will post that day's hours of operation for SFoG. In other news, I should be taking my fifth trip to SFoG next week, although I was supposed to go today. Finally, wish me a Happy Birthday tommorrow, because....well, tommorrow's my birthday! :)

[7/18] TRIP TO SFoG #4

Today, I traveled back to SFoG and had one of my better trips ever. I rode nine rides, including all roller coasters except for Deja Vu and Dahlonega Mine Train. I have decided to write a full report, instead of just Key Events. Read it in the TRIP REPORTS page.
