RIDE EXPERIENCE
ARRANGEMENT: 2 trains with 7 cars per train. Riders are arranged 2
across in 2 rows for a total of 28 riders per train
STRUCTURE: All track and supports are green--The Mindbender is made up of 400,000
lbs. of steel structure
ELEMENTS (in order): Slanted turn, 80-foot drop, 56-foot tall vertical
loop, speed spiral, inclined loop, swooping drop into inclined helix, 56 foot tall vertical loop, speed spiral, brakes
into station
FEATURES: A short tunnel after first loop--One of only a few rides at Six Flags
over Georgia you can see from the interstate (I-20)
HISTORY/NOTES: This site agrees with Six Flags Inc. that Mindbender is the first
triple loop roller coaster in North America. A loop does not have to be an inversion, and Mindbender includes two inverted
loops and an inclined loop. Therefore, it is the first triple loop roller coaster in North America, not the first triple inversion
coaster--Painted green (was brown) in 1997 to match new Gotham City section of the park--Arguably, the best Schwarzkopf
looper in history
